Compliance Training Options Compared

Indian employers usually choose between building training in-house, licensing a global course library, or using India-specific eLearning. Here is how the three compare.

Which option fits you

Build it in-house if you are a small team with in-house legal expertise and time to keep the material current. You save the licence fee but spend staff time instead, and the audit trail is your problem.

A global course library suits multinationals that need one curriculum across many countries. Add India-specific modules for the laws the library does not cover.

Compliance at Workplace suits Indian employers who need training that maps to Indian law, works on their existing LMS and produces records an auditor or Internal Committee can rely on. Browse the course catalogue or the training topics.

Questions to ask any compliance training provider

  • Which Indian laws and sections does each course cite, and when was it last updated?
  • Will it run on our LMS as SCORM, or do we have to use your platform?
  • What completion and assessment records can we export for an audit?
  • Is the course available in the languages our employees actually read, such as Hindi?
  • Can we add our own policies, branding and scenarios?
  • Where is learner data stored, and how does that fit the DPDP Act? (See how we handle learner data.)

Frequently asked questions

Is a global compliance course library enough for an Indian company?

It can cover general ethics, but Indian employers have obligations that generic libraries often miss: the POSH Act requires awareness programmes and an Internal Committee, the DPDP Act sets duties for anyone handling personal data, and section 9 of the Prevention of Corruption Act makes a company liable for bribes paid on its behalf. Check that each course names the Indian law it relies on.

Can we use your courses on our existing LMS?

Yes. Courses are supplied as SCORM packages that run on your LMS, so learner records stay in your system. If you do not have an LMS, we host the training on our Compliance Central platform.

Is in-house POSH training legally acceptable?

The POSH Act requires employers to run workshops and awareness programmes at regular intervals; it does not require an outside provider. What matters is that the content is accurate, reaches every employee and that you can prove it did.
